A hero policeman buried in a common grave more than 140 years ago will be honoured at a north London ceremony. Sgt Robert Grant was awarded the Victoria Cross after saving a wounded soldier during the 1857 Indian mutiny. He joined the Metropolitan Police but died at the age of 30 and was buried in a grave with nine others as his wife could not afford a full funeral.

Mac strategy fans are getting a belated expansion to Age of Empires III, while the PlayStation 3 will see a port of Monster Madness: Grave Danger (subtitled Battle For Suburbia when released on the 360). The new version will attempt to address some of the complaints voiced about the original, while adding new features and a 4-player online co-op mode.

A review into business practices at BAE Systems is set to be released soon. The independent study, by Lord Woolf, the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, is likely to examine how the firm conducts arms deals. The remains of British and Australian troops killed in WWI are to be taken from a French mass grave and reburied in individual plots at a new cemetery. The bodies of up to 400 soldiers found at the grave in north-east France in May will be reburied as close as possible to where they were found. The men will be given full military honours to commemorate their bravery.
