Lefty was feeling a lot better — and still in the lead alone — when he finished the third round Saturday with a 17-foot birdie putt from the front edge. The tournament starts at Torrey Pines in California on 12 June and having already played there, Mickelson says it could well be won by an over-par score. "Even if it's soft I don't think anything close to even-par will win. I think it's the hardest course in the world," he said.

FORT WORTH (AP) Another memorable shot, and another victory, for Phil Mickelson's impressive ledger. Not the 9-foot birdie putt on the final hole that gave him a one-stroke victory at the Crowne Plaza Invitational on Sunday. Instead, it was the 140-yard wedge from heavy rough that set it up: when Mickelson had to hit under one tree and over another...
