Rumors of a new Sony PlayStation 3 SKU have been swirling around for awhile now, in spite of the general level of disdain for the often-confusing business model. At the Sony press conference at E3 today, however, the company unveiled its newest SKU: the 80GB "Core" pack. The Core will take the place of the 40GB, hitting a $399 price point. The unit comes back with a Dual Shock 3, but no game.
