France-based Atari parent Infogrames said that on April 4 last year, it agreed to pay former CEO Bonnell the amount upon his resignation from the firm. But U.S.-based Infogrames subsidiary Atari had been left out of the loop. At the time of Infogrames' agreement with Bonnell, Infogrames was a majority shareholder in Atari. The two companies merged in an $11 million deal earlier this year.
