I'm not sure if aping the Rock Band approach is the right move for Activision; it's going to be seen as a me-too move, and it's hard to say how many consumers are willing to have two sets of plastic drums in their homes. We can hope that the instruments of Rock Band and Guitar Hero IV will work together, but I wouldn't give good odds.
