Connerys car fetches £17,000 at auction A 1961 Bentley once owned by James Bond star Sir Sean Connery has fetched more than £17,000 at auction, reports the Press Association. The car was one of 33 vehicles sold at a Rolls-Royce and Bentley sale at Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire, over the weekend. The Bentley's logbook revealed that Connery owned the car for five years from July 5, 1974.

Teachers at Banchory Academy took the step after it was discovered some pupils had been drinking. Aberdeenshire Council said it was decided to send all 100 pupils home.
