Blackburn boss Paul Ince has revealed that Aston Villa have lodged an offer for midfielder David Bentley. The England international, 23, did not play in Blackburn's pre-season victory at Macclesfield on Monday because of a calf problem picked up in training. A 1961 Bentley once owned by James Bond star Sir Sean Connery has fetched more than £17,000 at auction, reports the Press Association. The car was one of 33 vehicles sold at a Rolls-Royce and Bentley sale at Kelmarsh Hall, Northamptonshire, over the weekend.
