Sometimes you just can't fit all the video you want to on the rather modest sized 8GB (or 16GB) drive of Apple's iPhone. While one could carry around a second device (such as an iPod classic) to store additional video, that is contradictory to the thought that the iPhone is supposed to consolidate multiple devices into one easy to use solution.
