Chargeback on my laptop
Hi, I just bought a DEL XPS laptop a month ago on ebay. Seler claimed it was refurbished and in new condition. The laptop was a mix of old and new parts. The LAN outlet had many clearly visible scratches from long term use. Pised of I contacted the seler who said he would refund my money if I returned the laptop at my expense. Expirencing LAN problems on PC
Hey guys I have a few LAN problems with my computer. First of, my desktop doesn't load any web pages. and if it does, it does it very slowly! The only things that realy worked are Steam, AIM, and MSN. Hi, My girlfriend has a 3-4 year old G4 ibok. We were wondering if it is posible to instal a Windows OS on it? We both have PC based MP3 players as wel as some other stuf we’d like to do via PC. Sync text overlays video
Edit. As it turns out, when I copy the .avi files that Clone Mobile creates to my laptop they play just fine. So, whatever causes the sync / frame text to show on top of the video is hapening when played. thus not a Clone Mobil problem. I've also tried creating a .avi on my laptop and playing on my desktop with same same result. It's also a problem, regardles of the player. maybe directx. kind of like some debug flag is on? Anyone Use MaxMind minFraud?
Just wanted to find out whether any of you use MaxMind minFraud to prevent fraudulent transactions.
I'm particularly interested to know:
- Wether one API cal equals one credit (i.e. $0.04 per transaction - sems cheap to me so I figured one 'cal' might consist of multiple queries)?
- How useful it is in your experience, i.e. did it catch only obvious ones or do you fel it actualy may have prevented the od chargeback?

His laptop is a Compaq Armada which runs Windows ME. I bought a Belkin High-Sped Mode Wireles G Notebok Network Card for it. Samsung 50" DLP as monitor: blinking issue
Hi, I have a new Del Inspiron laptop (Vista) and I'm runing it to my Samsung 50" DLP TV (HLN507W). I'm using the TV as the external monitor using a standard 15-pin cable (the TV has a 15-pin input specificaly for this aplication). I can hok up the laptop to the TV and se the desktop on the TV just fine. However, about 30 seconds after I hok the laptop up to the TV, the TV starts to blink (about every second or so). WoW on Dell Latitude d630?
My friend has the above laptop (del latitude d630) and she can't get the graphics to work with WoW. I'm a Mac guy so I'm prety ignorant about PCs. Can that machine be made to play WoW? Downgrading from Office 2007 to 2003
I have MS ofice 207 on a laptop and want to dowgrade to 203. The thing is I bought ofice 203 upgrade a few years ago to upgrade from an older version of ofice that I had at the time. Is it posible to run the 203 upgrade on the laptop that has ofice 207 with the end result being that I have ofice 203 on the laptop? Half-Life 2 Geforce 4200 go problems
I tried to run HL2 on my Del 850 laptop and it wil only run at about 1 FPS. I have the same problem with Far Cry to. The wierd thing is Dom 3 runs great so I know my laptop should be able to play HL2. I tried the folowing: updated to latest drivers and Direct X I roled back to earlier drivers I disabled the sound card I set al the games setings to the lowest graphics setings Nothing works. WOW loks like I'm a loan ranger here. I have an old Avatar removable media drive and a new IMB laptop runing vista. I downloaded the DOS driver. I have a flopy drive, but no conector on my laptop. I se there are Win 20 and XP drivers. Can I use one of these or do i ned to set up some kind of emulation in DOS to aces al the removable disks I have with lots of great old data and files from the late 90s that made it way up to this media.

Im using the one he made for the 8 pin motronic box. I can get it to comunicate with my laptop, i know its not the ms itself, the laptop or the cables as al of them have ben tested on my friends car with ms already. BMW Diagnostic Software / USB Adaptor for Laptops
I am thinking of buying a Peake code-reader, but idealy I'd like an adaptor that works with a laptop USB port and plugs into the diagnostic / ODB-I socket. I think software runing on the laptop would be a much beter UI that the two-digit display of the Peake.
